Wow thanks @magpie that's super helpful. The stock photos on Cinelli website (same that retailers use) doesn't have that brake mount drill, so it's a real eye opener to see the close up shot - thanks so much for settling that for us. Bike looks great! Love that paint scheme.

Just out of curiosity, can I ask what size you went for? I'm 5.11 and tempted by the medium (53 steel or 54 all) even though retailer size guides are telling me to order a L (56).

Thanks for the great feedback and tips, everyone! And agreed @Shandoom, rather not drill the frame - so this is a good pointer. @Jackness you're right they do say that but I'm starting to think that may be an error. I can't see the exit, and there's definitely no drill for the mount on the steel version in photos. You can see the cable route and mount space in photos of the alu versions. Might just send Cinelli a mail and ask them )

Agreed there is little point spoiling the Steel V. Alu apparently have internal routing, so perhaps, ultimately, it comes down to a more fundamental decision - stay fixed with the steel or single speed with one of the two alu models.

That's right on the Steel vig - i assume that one would have to stay fixed? (or is there any way to mount a break without drilling..?) The alu models are actually pre-drilled for rear break, funny enough.

I suspect I'll eventually go single speed, def full bike as I don't have the time now to source/ build it. Would you say one model better than the other for single speed?

Hey thanks to everyone for all the super feedback - great to hear from you guys, even if I'm still a little torn. Still leaning towards the steel...
