Good luck with the clear out. I picked up a virtually new Basso from Bikeworks in Derby. Nice shop, nice guy and a really nice ride out on the this morning

Thank you for the offer, sorry for delay on getting back to you, but decided to go in a different direction and get a carbon road bike.
Good luck if you decide to sell the cannondale

Interested. Scunny is close enough to pick up
What kind of condition? Any pics you can send?
Is it the subtle green colour? ;)

Looking for a road bike that has clearance for some bigger tyres. Dont need to be monsters, 35s or 38s will be great. I'm wanting to get off the tarmac some of the time and explore some tracks and trails but something that can hang on the road too.

Something with a decent group set that will help me get up some hills (recently been riding my fixed gear on some longer rides out the city, had to walk a couple of hills - no shame).
Price range £400-600. Maybe go higher for something special
I'm up in sunny Nottingham, but could probably arrange a pick up from London or could pay for postage.
I'm 5'11 so 56 cm frame will fit nicely

Pulled up at the lights behind 2 or 3 other cars and waited. A mouth breather pulled in behind me and was clearly unhappy with my primary position, honking and shouting to get out the road. We're still not moving at red light. I turned to ask what was up and he drove car into the back of my bike. Not much impact but enough to buckle my mudguard up. Got my phone out and snapped some pics then moved to side of road to fix mudguard so wheel would turn again. Knobface drove off, no surprise. Very disappointed by other drivers, who must've witnessed, swearing at me as they drove off. Team car delayed by self righteous cyclist I guess.
Reported it police, forwarded photos and they've got back saying the will review CCTV next week. It's a big city centre junction with cameras, so maybe it'll be on there. I have low expectations of what'll happen but needed reporting.
All so unnecessary, and leaves me further disappointed in humans.

Went to the shop this afternoon, had chat with laddo, we've kissed and made up. Hopefully the end of it. It's been good to reflect on my own behaviour, i need to let more of it go and stop trying to police the road -calling out close passers and mobile users. We'll see

I got the reg and rang it through to 101. I've since realised the driver is the son of the local corner shop owner. Guess I'll pop round for a chat with dad tomorrow

Properly lost my shit today. Coming back from the park with my three year old on a seat behind me on a 20mph residential street, almost right outside my house, car drives straight at me head on, at speed, just missed. I offload some strong abuse in their direction. Two youths get out 19/20 year olds and start threatening (to fire bomb my house) and trying to fight me. They've then ridden round the block a few times to try and see where I live, we get into it again round the corner.
I'm not proud of my reaction at all. Definitely escalated it and put me and son in a dangerous situation. Stupid thing is, if I was on my own I might've let it go, zen cyclist and all that. 40 years old, two kids, still learning
