I just wanted to update everyone here and thank you all for your feedback and information. Especially @Nbenja3 who messaged me personally to help out, much appreciated!
I think we have been stung a little with an unknowing seller (shop was https://www.facebook.com/retrospectivecycles/ but have now stopped selling / buying bikes helpfully) and not having all the great information held by the likes of you lot.
We will be revising the price soon, but feel free to send lower offers: it's still a great frame / bike / parts but definitely not worthy of the original (incorrect) asking price.

Ok I have taken some more pictures of the lug cuts and the front fork and discovered something. I do agree it's probably not a Colnago but in fact Colner as inscribed on the front fork. I will update description accordingly unless someone massively disagrees? I will also research further what price to offer but for now will keep at £950 and anyone can send offers of course :)

To be a bit of a pedant your reference doesn't mention 1978 (the year of this bike) and I will be checking the lugs and frame later just so we can all be sure.
Sadly the shop closed up a couple years ago so we cannot return it but am of course considering bringing the price down (gotta start high at least) was just going off a similar styled Colnago bike price seen elsewhere.
Do appreciate the feedback though and hence planning to investigate further...Keep your eyes peeled for updates :)

We bought it with those specs from a shop and just updated the wheels for rideability. So as far we know it's a Colnago and almost all original parts. The frame might be a paint job I will have to check the frame markings again later :) still a beautiful frame and bike that has been fixed up to be ridden or hung up and look pretty if you wish
