    Thanks, it’s just arrived in the post and looks great.

    58cm Specialized Langster Pro stolen from SW Bristol last night. Slightly rubbish pictures but the only ones I can find. It's got a black fizik saddle on it now and a longer all black stem. 58mm American Classic rims on hope hubs with black Vittoria corsa tubs. Miche air chainset. Distinguishing features are a Vision sticker near the BB and a BC one on the chainstay.

    If only chrismanc could get those boys to fix his roof! It's so galling to have to pay for a bad job.
    Perhaps Sedum trays would be a good way to cover it, provided they've been able to make it watertight.

    Re the flat roof woes; I used to build & repair fibreglass yachts so have a bit of experience with this. Their work is messy AF but looks generally adequate for a roof which doesn't really experience any complex loadings. The 'paint' will likely be flowcoat, which is the same resin as that used for the laminating but is coloured,and more waterproof/UV resistant. It is best applied straight after laminating, so no real worries with what they have done in applying quickly. As long as the roof laminate forms a continuous 'tub', it shouldn't matter how well it is bonded to the wooden substrate. The bits that really matter are all the fiddly bits like the sharp edges of the gutter and the scupper where it runs through the parapet to the downpipe, which look like they have a few holes in and needs some more work. Hard to really see from the pictures, but it all looks repairable, rather that needing to start again.

    Perhaps not. That'll run off before it can evaporate and just make something rusty. A good poke around with a cloth on a chopstick and a bit of kitchen spray worked for me last time I had the treat of doing it.

    The condensation from the back of the fridge runs through it, drips on to the warm compressor below and evaporates. It slowly forms a stalagmite of grot.

    This is absolutely heartbreaking to hear. He was such a nice guy and an awesome bike racer too.

    Haven't tried since GWR changed the bike arrangements. Depends whether it's the main London-Penzance one, or just the small local train. Small train is easy but the London train would be tricky.

    It’s a great route but would be horrible/lethal in the dark. For daylight hours;
    Take ferry to Torpoint, coast road to Downderry, Looe, Bodinnick ferry, Par and St Austell. In the dark I’d just catch the train.
