Can't see any posts about if but I have thought someone has some experience of it.
I'm looking at doing it May, Ive found people doing it in 5 days but I'm thinking of doing it in 4. (albeit to Wigan)
My rough plan is: I don't know if average KPH is wildly optimistic or not.
Day 1 Glasgow (Leave at 11:00 am) to Bothy @ Talla Linnfoots 130km
Night 1 Bothy 130km
9 hours cycling @ 15 kphFood - Abington General Store 96 km
Day two Bothy to Alston - 170km
10 hours at 17 kph
Night 2 Hostel 300km

I agree, their company will still make money for years to come but they did very well from everyone being stuck at home during lock down.
