Hi, I'm new here, thanks for advance for any advice. I'm currently restoring this lo pro which came with a Mavic Challenger rear wheel.
Does anyone have any experience of servicing these? It runs smooth but I know it's been in a shed since 1991! It looks like has circlips holding the retaining nuts in place?
The cassette is a 7 speed suntour screw on type.
I can't find anything despite trawling the internet.

Hi, I'm new and thought this might be a good place to try and get some advice on my latest project. Specifically - brakes and bull bars for low pro bikes of the late 80's..
It was made in '88 and I can't find anything about 'Midas' - it's Columbus tubing and pretty light - 9.5kg as you see it here including the challenger wheel which must weigh close on 3kg's.
I've been after a lo pro for a while - specifically one that fits me (I'm 6'2'') and one that has a 24 inch front wheel. The guy I got it from, he bought it from new and raced on it for a few years - It came to me with just frame and wheels - 7 speed screw on cassette and a single chainring - 60t for flat courses, or, 54t it was a hilly course (!!!!)
I've sourced most of the bits now, turbo saddle and period correct seat tube on the way. I have no experience of building tt bikes (usually fixies or old road bikes). I'm a bit stumped with the handlebar set up. As you can see, I have got some period correct profile aero bars and had some bull horns laying about. I'm stuck when it comes to brake levers and cables etc. I doubt it would have had tt levers. Any idea what it should be running? What would be period correct? Big loopy cables or internal routing?
In the photo it has some 'aero' levers but these aren't right - see cables!
While I'm at it, anyone have any experience of servicing a mavic challenger hub? It looks like it's held together by circlips!
Thanks in advance.
