Need some advice on the following: I got this 3ttt Pista stem only to realise (too late after the purchase) that it has some small hairline cracks and chips (flakings) on the underside of the body, where the cast seems to have been finished in the mould, or where a filler material has been used to smoothen things.
To the naked eye, the crack does not seem to extend deeper beyond the surface layer of the flaked area, but there are hairline cracks all along the wedge where the cast has been finished (as can be seen in one of the photos).
The question is: would this be structural and therefore unusable, or rather a surface issue?
Hi, is the ITM handlebar still for sale?
