Commuting is the second use in my opinion, I've always loved cycling and I am really looking to build this bike for enjoyment. I imagine I'll use it for commuting when I am more confident with my fixed abilities.
I haven't purchased any of these components yet, however the H Plus Son have been recommended to me but quite a few people now!
Would you recommend 42/16 for general usage?

Hello everyone,
I have been thinking about a fixed gear bike for quite a few years now and have decided to finally pull the trigger. First of all, I'd like to apologise if this has been posted in the wrong place!
Here are a rough list of the components I've been looking at and would appreciate thoughts and advice. I am roughly 175 cm tall and 53 / 54 cm bikes seem to fit me and I have a budget of around £800-1100. I will be mainly using the bike for enjoyment and eventually commuting in London.
Brothers Swift 2015 54 CM Frameset
H Plus Son Archetype Road Rim 32H + 36H
Dia-Compe Gran Compe Front Track Hub - 32H + 36H (will this work? as both are "front"?)
Continental Gatorskin Folding Road Tyre 25 C
Continental Quality Road Inner Tube 700 x 25 - 32 Race 28
Tange Bottom Bracket - would appreciate suggestions and advice on this!
Miche Fixed Track Sprocket + Lockring + Sugino Pista Crank (all 1/8) and either 48/18T or 42/16T
HL 710 Single Speed Chain
Shimano Front Break 105 + Dirty Harry lever
Oury Grips
Cinelli Ant Stem + Cinelli Pepper Bars (riser)
Deda RSx Seatpost 2014 (looking for something reasonably priced as all other components are quite dear)
Hope QR Seat Post Clamp
Charge Spoon Saddle
Token Track Toe Clip TK456 (I will usually be wearing trainers and don't want clip ins just yet)All of this roughly equates to £950 plus a good lock and labour of wheel builds etc on top!
I welcome all comments as I know this a strong community of riders and appreciate feedback!
Many thanks,
N
