Put this together for my gf to ride for 4 month trip around Europe. Has worked well although the front derailer is a bit dodgy after a Ryanair flight so probably need replacing. Has a relatively new rear wheel and comes with a spare front one as described below.
Specs....
Orange C16r 1997 15" cc / 17" ct
Wheels: Front shoddy shimano on an xm317. Rear Deore 610 on a Ryde Zac 2000 with a pretty new shimano 8 speed 11-34. Front rim is fairly worn, will throw in a spare front wheel deore/mystery eyeletted rim which has heaps of life left.
Tires: Marathon Mondial (doube defense) 26x2
Cranks: Alvio, 170
Derailleurs: Shimano stx front (needs replacing), STX RC rear
Shifters: Shimano 3x7 speed. Stx i think. My gf has been fine without the 8th speed but if you want the 11 tooth cog to work you'll need to track down an 8 speed shifter.
Brakes: Shimano BM420
Levers: Tektro somethjngs
Seatpost/saddle: Orange w original shim and specialized riva 155.
Rack: RSP alloy rear rack, goldtec mini front rack.
Bars/Stem: Ergotex Country Bars (cut down a touch). Cool gold dirt drop stem has one stripped threads in one binder bolt hole thing. Other one is fine and my gf aint managed to move it. Will also throw in the old orange sk8 stem which works pretty well with the bars and looks cool af.Pretty light for an old mtb, apparently a mix of logic and prestige. Would be fukn killer dirt dropped.
Only gonna be back in London for 2 days the, the 19th and 20th of July. Staying in E1 so pickup is from there or I can deliver within a reasonable distance on those days. Any questions just ask. Riding through Norway atm and won't have so much WiFi but will reply when I can. Dibs is cool and middle men are fine so long as pickup or delivery is on either of those days.
Any questions just holler.

Knocked this together for a four month trip around Europe and while it aint gonna get a feature on the radavist, it is ready to roll and will carry you and some luggage through space and time. It has served me well. Is pretty capable, did some riding on rough tracks like the bike crossing in the black forest and the rallarvegen. Was also pretty good on pavement and super dodgy Albanian b roads. Heading back to New Zealand so gotta offload it.
Specs are...
Kona Fire Mountain 1991 20"
Wheels: Built at Rosebike. Deore 610 hubs, Airline extreme 3, dt swiss spokes. Rear has Sram pc830 (11-32) on it.
Tires: Marathon Mondial (Folding evo line) 26x2
Cranks: Acera octalink 175mm
Derailleurs: Shimano old lx front, Deore LX M570 rear
Shifters: Shimano 8 speed. Stx i think,
Brakes: Shimano BM420
Levers: mismatched avid. One fr5, one speed dial 7.
Seatpost/saddle: Ergotec with nasty but comfortable specialized riva 155.
Rack: Blackburn outpost deluxe.
Bars/Stem: On one mary/system ex/Kalloy quill adapter. Will include the original kona joe murray one also.http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/v/Manufacturer+Archive/Kona/Catalogues/Kona+Catalogue+1991/
Got the wheels new for the trip. Pretty damn sturdy. Need a minor true but not enough for me to actually sit down and do it. Has an array of spare spokes. Rims still have stacks of surface according to the indicator. Octalink bb was also new at the start of the trip.
Has a ding on the downtube. Got it during the first flight of the trip so safe to say it's benign. Includes a couple of panniers, a carradry backpack thing in okay condition and a cheap but very waterproof boardman one. Will upload pics when camera has some charge.

Long time lurker in this and the functional thread. Been liven in London for a while with my partner and our visa's are almost up so we are embarking on a grand brexit tour of Europe. London has lived up to it's reputation and I have fuck all money left so had to do the bikes on the cheap. They're pretty janky but I'm like 95% sure they will be fine.
Got some cheap but seemingly decent wheels from rosebike and still needa to do some cassette and wheel swapping. Also got a smaller crankset for chips that I needa throw on the kona.
Still planning route but gonna be hitting Germany (Black Forest), Eastern Sardinia, Slovenia, Croatia down to Greece and maybe Norway and Scotland if time is on our side. The stuff I have planned is mostly b roads and forest tracks with a little singletrack.
Hoping my faith in 90's steel mtbs is not misplaced.

P2 forks are in pretty good nick. I can't remember the crown to axle length but if you wanna know just let me know.
Frame is lookin pretty shabby and looks to have had some chain suck issues in the past. Pics show the driveside chainstay is pretty cut up. When I got it I limited front derailer to 2 outer rings so it aint gotten any worse since I had it. Would make a good 1x beater, but would 110% not run it with a triple.
Includes an FSA pig HS, Kalloy 27.2 post, and some shimano cranks and bb as I aint got a crank puller to get em off.
If you have any questions or want more pics just let me know.
I am in N17
Dropped price a bit more. In London today and tomorrow. Can deliver if you live not too far out. Cheers
