that's pretty smart. i've no intention of having mine removed unless it starts giving me grief.

still so happy i made the decision to get it plated. i'm able to lift weight at the gym like i've never been injured.

    Cheers!

Was at the physio yesterday (3wks post-op) and I'm now sling free. Feels great. Muscles are a bit sore from being used for the first time in ages, but it feels fine apart from that.
Allowed to go on a static bike and start back with legwork at the gym. I've got 5kg to put back on that I've lost since the crash.

The consultant said they needed to get me in straight away before it started to properly knit together in the wrong place.
I'm so glad I pushed to get seen earlier than my scheduled 6wk appointment. They had to unknit it as it was after 4.

Currently post-op after an SPD unclipped 5 weeks ago. After being scooped up by an ambulance and taken to a&e i was sent up the road with a sling and a fracture clinic appointment. was x-rayed and told to keep it in the sling and go back in 6 weeks. ended up heading back to the clinic early as i had a winged scapula and a lot of back pain. they decided to operate and i was in the next day getting it put back in place and plated. sore, but things feel much better already.

worst thing has been getting the train to and from work. i've had some prick sit down on my slinged arm.

Was having problems with the fracture, and a bit of a winged scapula. Got my 6wk follow up moved forward to Tuesday where it was decided to operate. Got it all put back to where it should have been and plated yesterday and back home today. Pretty rapid turnaround.
    Bloody painful. That's for sure.

Back to the clinic in 6 weeks to see if it's healed itself. Back to work tomorrow.

Cheers. I'm doing my best to keep the arm immobilised.

cheers rusty. they didn't show me my x-rays at all. just put a sling on me and sent me up the road with a referral to the clinic. it's currently my back that's giving me the most grief. roll on tuesday.
