Well that's appreciated, but I pinned because:
- It's likely of interest to people here (they like beer)
- You were already forum member and were respectful about asking about promotion posts before posting

@stuartm is there a list of breweries/exhibitors anywhere?
-
• #7
Darn good question.
At present the confirmed breweries are being posted at: https://instagram.com/bromleycamrafestival?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==
Some highlights so far include Verdant, Deya, Siren, Phantom, Drop Project, Brodies, The Veil, Moor, BBNO and Brew York. Cask and keg options too.

I was drinking with someone who had the beer list the other day. Paid zero attention to it, but there was a lot of approving nodding going on at the table (lots of beards and beer bellies)

The organisers encourage you to always drink responsibly. 🤣

It's not just the flat/brown/warm stuff. There's something for everyone, whatever your facial fuzz or body shape. All welcome!
And as one of just five people with access to the beer list, were you drinking with me?!

might have been? Cockpit in Chislehurst. I was on a birthday bike ride
-

Cockpit is a cracking pub. Wasn’t me though (but I know who it was). I was nursing my own birthday induced hangover.
You’ve gotta come along now you know the quality on offer.

What is the current law on cycling over the legal limit (and can points be knocked onto your driving licence?) Previously I was quite good at this, but now I'm all sensible and the owner of a fixed rate mortgage.

And what's the nearest train station?

Elmers End on the Hayes line.

Suggests it would not affect your driving license but you could face a substantial fine.

Nice afternoon at the beer fest …. cracking range of beers - especially lots from South London / Kent etc …..
Quite a weird crowd though - not sure if weirder than London fixed gear skidders …. but … getting there …. ! -

Also had a nice afternoon at the festival this afternoon. Great selection of beer. Nice buzz of people and sunny weather. Was also able to pop into the clubhouse to catch the cricket score.

Huge thanks to everyone who came along, we really appreciate it!
From @stuartm :
I'm part of the organising committee for the Bromley CAMRA beer festival. It takes place a stone's throw off south east London's favourite route back to town after a bike ride, Elmers End.
There’s beers and ciders for all tastes to rehydrate after a ride, with plenty of space for larger groups and bikes. There’s also food options. Everything will have vegan and gluten free options. There’s no/low alcohol too.
The event takes place in Beckenham Rugby Club, which is just off Upper Elmers End Road. You can find out more details at: https://bromley.camra.org.uk/festival-2023/
Tickets for non-CAMRA members are £3 bought online (free for members and under-26s). I'm happy to chat about a LFGSS group arrangement.
I share a copy of our information flyer. Please let me know.
Thanks for your time (and the cracking forum)!
