Apologies for last week's forum structure chat gubbins, and then my early bail on the ride. In for Kent 2 this week. Star Hill is such a cheeky little bastard but I sort of love it.

I'm currently wearing a medical-issue rubber geisha girl shoe, so no Star Hill action for me this time sadly. Stitches out next week - so hopefully I'm in with a shout for the next ride.*
*if it's flatfish and you'll turn a blind eye to teh crabonz...

Ooh, kinky! Illness or accident? Either way best of luck with the recovery.

Trying to negotiate out of Ikea.
Pfft, IKEA was so last year. Opera is the excuse du jour, tho enforced use of exotic constrictive rubber-wear is pretty good too.

I'm in. I have to go home and swap bikes. But there's plenty of time for that.
I can either ride out or get the train from Bromley South.... -

Can this one be done with a nodder front light? No worries if not, there will be other rides.
(The joystick you recommended will happen after pay day..)

Sunset is at nine so the first hour will be bright. The next half hour will still be dim light. After that you can follow a wheel to get round.

cheers, but fuck it, not in my place to break the self sufficiency rule.
I'll join the next one -

Illness or accident?
I've finally had an operation to remove a scarred nerve from my left foot (Morton's Neuroma) - which has been driving me progressively nuts for the last 5 years.
how's the recovery?
I'll find out a lot more on Tuesday when the stitches come out. I'm not allowed to remove the dressing and splint before then - the only thing I can see is that the end of my big toe (which is nowhere near the incision/problem) is still bright purple. The shoe stops me putting any weight on the front of my foot, so it's difficult to tell how it's getting on without deliberately hurting myself without it..
Fortunately I reckon carbon Sidis will be the ultimate recovery shoe (they've been the only pain relief I've had for the last 5 years). Albeit, somewhat ironically, they probably also made the most significant contribution to causing the problem in the first place..
