The Great Escape 2015 - 200km audax - [London-Essex]

This is a 200km ride that starts and finishes at Look Mum No Hands! (Old Street, London EC1) and takes in lots of lovely lanes and villages in Essex, including the Knead Cafe at The Blue Egg in Bardfield.

All 225 places were sold last year, so this time there will be a field of 400.

We've sold about 100 of the 400 places already - the ride will most likely sell out, do grab a place while you can.

I may come along for the craic. Kind of miss Essex now I'm south and riding in Kent. Only when I can't face hills and fancy braving some angry drivers though.

i have not ridden further than home to work! this might hurt a little...

In. I don't know all the route, but it doesn't look particularly hilly - what are the steepest bits? Just wondering whether to go geared or fixed...
