ah fantastic, I wanted to ride this last year but drinking said no...so this year it is :).
What's the entry fee? -
• #3
Oh, might give this a pop. I thought my HC schedule had a day off this weekend...

Well done - not sure on the entry fee but don't think it'll be more than a couple of quid. Just enter on the line. There'll be peeps milling around in the car park of The Owl at the top of the hill. Start is 11am and remember clocks go back tonight.
I raced once after a skinful the night before - certainly cleared my head (& stomach...!)
Look forward to seeing you there - weather looks OK

Were you the couple with the Surlys? If so, I was standing next to you, and was confused by the magic of the timing system.

Does anyone know the date for the 2015 edition? @Eagle_Glenn
-
• #10
Yep - 25th October. Plenty of time to train for it!

• #11
do you just turn up on the day? @Eagle_Glenn
-
• #12
Yup, nothing but a bike and beans required.
-
• #13
ooo, I fancy this. See if I can get anyone to come with.

Yep just rock up 1/2hr earlier or so, find the timekeeper (one of two older gentlemen in our club, both called Pete) and sign on.
I'll be out on my bike...you'll spot me....I'll be wearing Eagle colours.
I'll start a new thread
Our club hill climb isn't as much of a classic as others - we've only been running it since 1933.
Lippitts Hill is quite steep but not too long - below 2 mins is a good ride. Ideal for fixed wheel and there's a pub at the top (The Owl) to rehydrate/recover in.
Starts at 1100hrs and all welcome
Look forward to seeing you there
