  • There is 50K ride at 9:45 and a 100K ride at 9:30. The 5oK is fairly benign, the 100K fairly tough. You can make up your mind on the day which to do.

Advance entry is £8, this includes refreshments.

The website at http://www.willesdencyclingclub.co.uk/calendar/reliability-rides/ has full details and a link to online entry.

  • Took some flyers with me to Richmond Park and shamelessly pressed them on cyclists queuing for coffee and cake at the Caff. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of interest shown.

The routes have been checked by fellow club members and small adjustments will be made to the routesheets in the next day or so.

Several people asked me how to get there without a car. Marylebone to Gerrards Cross on Chiltern is the best bet, with Uxbridge, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood Underground alternatives. There does not appear to be any engineering work on the Chiltern Line and I noticed they advertise a £3.00 advance single. Allow 15 minutes from the train to the starting line.

  • Weather forecast looks good!

  • 2019 version!

You can tackle a moderate 50Km route or a challenging 100Km route, both across the Chilterns. The 100Km starts at 9:30, the 50Km at 9:45. Choose which you do on the day. Do them at a pace which suits you.
£8 in advance, £10 at the start

    Refreshments included
Signed route, nearly all on minor roads
    No mucky lanes downhill
    Older children (12+) welcome

  • 2020 event will be on Sunday, February 16th.
There are two routes, a fairly easy 50km and a fairly tough 100km. The rides start from Chalfont St Peter and go almost entirely on minor roads, though the routes have been designed to avoid downhills on poor surface lanes. The cost is £8.00 for advance entry, £10.00 on the day. This includes signage, catering at the start and finish and a certificate for finishers who arrive within their chosen time. You can choose either distance on the day. The 100km starts at 09:30 on the 16th, 50km at 09:45.
