FG/SS only? What kinda pace?
-
• #10
`starts slowly then the paced is upped to see how many of the group we can lose then the last 1/3rd is a full on sprint missing as many bridges as you can as winning is all that matters
well thats the way it has been for the last few, earlier ones were a very social pace with noone left behind

Greetings folks,
Things just fell into place, so I was delighted to attend yesterday's Bridges Ride. Nice ride out towards Kew following all the mamils heading to Richmond Park, says the middle aged man in lycra... It was a pretty select bunch - 6 riders at the beginning, so I was feeling pretty chuffed that I would be able to finish in the top 6.
Lovely ride, few showers en route. Good to do the Barnes bits in daylight as they are pretty dark night time with no / very few street lights. Pit stop in Battersea Park and then all fuelled up for the finish at Tower Bridge.
So I did the rider sums and by the end of the ride I came in 7th rather than 6th - hey ho...
Thanks to John and Kris for a brilliantly led ride as always.... Thanks to the others in attendance for a great ride - pleasure to ride with you all.
Peace and love,
Tim
