Yes, but recovering from a cold and feeling very slow so don't be surprised if I bail halfway round

I'm in. Riding out though.
With as many times as I've done these rides I can never remember if there is a wetherspoons at the end of this one #pray4spoons

It would, but I won't make it. I will be the in Chingford in time to start but then have to be somewhere else at 8. If anyone wants to ping me a poke or whatever it's called this week when you hit the Lea on the way through Broxbourne park I will try and meet you.

5 out of 5 stars for the ride. Not sure star ratings can really be applied to the karaoke. -1 stars for the mild

Good riding all - sorry you missed it Matt. Thank Christ that thunderstorm didn't break a few hours earlier!
In other news I just cracked and googled Dear Prudence... WTAF.

If it's a reference to the Beatles and prudence farrow, I prefer the outtake of sexie Sadie.
"Maharishi, you little twat/Who the fuck do you think you are?/Who the fuck do you think you are?/Oh, you cunt." -some of John's finest work.

I'm of an age where I know it from the Souixie and the Banshees version, it was merely for the "sun is up, sky is blue" invocation to get outside and play, which I thought fitted with the last days of our Indian summer. Which the flashes and bangs that woke me before dawn to the sound of summer's death rattle reminded me I utterly failed to do.

Glad you all had a nice time tho.

Of course I might have felt compelled to sing it at the Station House Karaoke so you all dodged a bullet there.

Haha - I had assumed it was a follow up to the Boxing Helena rom-com reference after finding this..

For a moment I thought I had a window into Matt's weekend viewing habits..

A 2008 Hallmark channel made for TV murder mystery staring Jane Seymour is most certainly not part of my prefered weekend viewing habits.
It's far more a midweek evening with a cup of cocoa event for me.

A little off topic, but how come you don't do the Amersham route anymore?

I did it yesterday and it is a tough one if riding fixed (in my opinion)
However, thank you, whoever mapped it.

I think it was dropped as the trains were a ball ache. Might be wort having a look at it again, see if things have changed.
The sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful and so are you...
36 miles on-road off-road with a winding river and a deep dark wood.
Won't you come out to play?
