How impossible will I find this ride?
-
• #5
It's easy, quite a bit of downhill.
-
• #6
It'll be about the same as the Kent ride.

Well if you don't mind me holding you up like Kent then I'm in.

It'll be fine, The last climb from West Humble to Ranmore is a bit of a short sharp shocker but the other climbs are mostly long and draggy but reasonable.

I would love to be able to give this route a try but:
(a) my legs are not strong enough, even with the geared bike of shifting shifters; and
(b) I am going to be at home listening to a live stream of the premiere of a piece of music by Luddlet #3.

Any more for any more? Weather's gonna be loverly tomorrow. Probably.

My monthly pumping session appears to have induced a sudden, and suspicious, case of 'rim-bulge'... so I'll be carrying the beers I'm afraid.
-
• #13
Ok, but no fiddling with your shifters.

Would you mind terribly if I rode out? I actually finish work at 4:30 tomorrow and that should be enough time for me to make it out. However I don't want to be anti-social by skipping out on the train - esp as I'm definitely taking it back to London.

Sorry, unfortunately I need to fix my automobile as I need it at the weekend and there's a strong possibility it might take me more than one evening to fix.
Sounding useless already and it's only ride 4 of the year!

Not a problem, we were short of a groupsave anyway.

Gears are one thing but there's no way you can bring a car on this ride.

Ha!
You know what I meant

Given you did the Death TT in your BMW I was taking no chances.

Good shout, now I have a stable jobs, I can make this.

I finish at 4:30 if I take an half hour lunch (or 4 if no lunch), so would like to ride out too, train it back tho.

Just check it, sunset at 8:42, and 21 degrees averages with a little bit of wind, look great.
