If you're even half considering this ride, I would say DO IT. A nice day in the saddle (almost) guaranteed. With any luck there'll be added entertainment at the other end, eg. kids being cadjouled into throwing their bikes off a roof, being barred from a certain pub, or just watching the pseudo-hells angels parading up the high street. also fingers crosssed for a staff-free train station -

Clacton-on-Sea Ride Sunday September 4
The distance is around 120KM, mainly flat
Fish and Chips, train back
Please only bring a fixed or single speed bike on this ride
(Road bikes by appointment only [pm me] - injuries, weak knees, etcetera.)
This is a casual, shorts and t-shirts ride to the coast with fish & chips and beer waiting
This is not a race, or a training session, or to be taken at all seriously, you do not need any special equipment or clothing. No crybabies - No crap equipment
