Quick plug for a sportive that I am organising.
We ran it 11 years ago as a full service event with feed stations, manned HQ, etc. It was fun but lots of work so we never did it again!
This year we are resurrecting it as a no-frills event, so it will be a car park start, pub/cafe finish and no feed stations but the route passes quite a few cafes / shops, and there is timing.
3 options - 160 / 100 / 60 km.
The 100 is the classic route from 2013, which was a fairly tough ride.
The 160 adds another hilly loop making it quite a challenge. I've not ridden the full ride in one go yet - had to DNF my both of my attempts in the spring - but we are doing a full route check in a couple of weeks' time, so I'll get dragged round by a couple of clubmates!
The 60 is an out and back to Kop hill.
Entry is free but we need people to sign up in advance for insurance compliance, so I can send risk warnings, etc, etc. We can have up to 200 entries and it's about half full, so plenty of spaces left.
