• Came off a vintage Raleigh but surprisingly light.
    I have (atrociously) hand-filed the drops to fit the thicker axles found on track/fixie wheels. Not the best job but able to get alignment and rode it for a while setup as below with 35C tyres and clearance left.

    Decent bit of steerer (remember having to use spacers) but haven't measured.

    Looks like they would hand polish off to a pristine condition v easily.

  • Would be keen, any chance you could throw a tape measure at it please? Would be got a pretty small bike so I want to make sure the thread goes down far enough

  • Sure, just had a look - total steerer tube length 165mm, of which 62mm is threaded
