If in TW8 lots of school might need it.
Also worth contacting the Musical Museum in Brentford and see if they have any need?

If you’re in London you could try the Brixton Chamber Orchestra who do great stuff for local kids and the community

Dear @Markyboy and anyone else in such a situation. My partner has been in touch with the Brixton Orchestra, with a lovely person there who took it upon themselves to research a good home for the chello and found and brokered a contact with them. It’s the perfect place, a local school where the music teacher is a chellist and where there are kids who want to and would be supported learning but who have no instrument. I - and my partner- want to thank you so much for your help. Another forum win!

That's great to hear! Do you know which school? My partner and daughter both teach in Lambeth.

I’m not 💯 sure but I think my partner said st gabriel’s, which might be in southwark not lambeth as we are camberwell and she said it was just down the road. Still, local to both. I love that you saw my message and are pleased!
My wife has this cello she would like to donate to a good cause. Ideally a school (state, obviously) or a community music project serious enough to make good use of a classical instrument (ie. there be teachers, music readers).
