• After realising I can pretty much build a new bike from the contents of my parts bin, I’ve decided the answer is not to build another bike and get some ££ for some the parts instead. Prices including postage apart from the bike frame sadly, which is collection only from Coventry or Birmingham Airport.

    • Patagonia jacket, synthetic ‘down’ plastic fill SOLD! (pretty sure it’s this one - https://eu.patagonia.com/gb/en/product/mens-micro-puff-hoody/84031.html?cgid=mens-jackets-vests-insulated-synthetic). Size Medium, which fit me loosely at 183cm and slimmish. Very lightly used and freshly cleaned. No visible marks or damage.

    • Ultegra 11-speed hydro mechanical brifters. SOLD! As bought from @GideonPARANOID sans Hope brakes. Gideon has mentioned the left shifting function has been faulty, now repaired by him and I will include the spare parts in question. 20 totally realistic test shifts resulted in no issues.

    • RaceFace Atlas handlebars, 35mm clamp with 35mm rise, 8 degrees backsweep, 5 degrees up. Very neat but totally overbuilt and unnecessary for my chill trail riding.

    • Shimano 11-28 cassette. Another Gideon purchase. The lockring says Ultegra, can’t speak for its provenance. Has been used but not very worn.
With this in mind, Now £12.50 posted?

    • Tiagra hydraulic flat mount brakes. SOLD!Functionally identical to GRX400 IMO. Some cosmetic scuffs from friction due to a broken spokes on one of the callipers. A length of hose is included with each, but these were run with an inline coupler so this may be a tad short.

    • Deda Zero100 seatpost, 27.2mm and 350mm, uncut. Some noticeable cosmetic scuffing where a seat bag has worn through the anodising, and some residue from rusty gunked-up grease. The latter is pretty invisible if you run it deep enough.

    • Boardman Comp alloy road bike frame. I make this c. 2014 with the colourway though I’m here to be corrected. Size L/570ish mm ETT. Very ratty with lots of missing and chipped paint, alu corrosion around the bolts and BB and scuffs everywhere. There are no noticeable breaks or bumps and it’s only dirty as being an unwanted shed strip down by a mechanic friend.
I got it thinking of maybe repainting as a lightweight roadie, but I like my Stayer too much.
      £45 collected?
      Now £40 collected

More to be added as soon as I can photograph and make my mind up about what to keep or not - surely, I need those 3 different widths and shapes of drop bar? Surely……

  • Some additions plus price drops on the old listings:

    • Ritchey Evomax Comp alloy drop bars. 440mm at the hoods, c. 475mm at the drops. Nice curve and reasonably shallow drop. Pretty good condition with no major scuffs.

    • Giant Contact SL-R D-fuse alloy drop bars.
420mm at the hoods, c. 460mm at the drops. Nice flattened tops and gentle backsweep. I just can’t along with the shape of the drop section.

    • Rockshox Judy TK Silver sus fork, 130mm t travel, Boost spaced with the Rockshox ‘maxle’ thru axle included. Steerer cut to c. 185mm which is sadly too short for me. The Hope crown race is not included. The Bikepacking.com skull and Outdoor Provisions stickers are also, sadly, not included!

  • Bump. Some price reductions across the board.

  • Bump. Price reductions again. I will be taking bits and bobs off for dreaded-Bay next week. Any purchases made this weekend will probably not be seen to until Monday as I'm off touring, sorry!

  • Dibs brakes

  • Gonna revive this with a new listing of a Lifeline home truing stand - eBay person bought it, turned into a bit of a nasty argument and then cancellation. Broken mount thing on it, that means front wheels can’t be trued but rear wheels can. I think this will do 135mm QR hubs easy enough, but the bit that holds the axle isn’t quite wide enough to fit thru axle end caps IME. Sadly, the missing part is gone but I imagine someone with a bit more time on their hands could remake/repair it. Pretty much brand new that besides.

Considering the damage and the RRP of £80, how’s £20 posted?

  • Moving the lot to dreaded eBay sadly - I desperately need to make space!
