• Hi all,

Sorry for the cross posting of this. Very quickly: I’m working with some colleagues at the University of Durham and University of Kent on a research project looking at mental health apps/mood apps. You can find a bit more information here: https://research.kent.ac.uk/emotional-tech/

My collaborators are doing the qualitative aspect of the research (interviews) while I’ve been leading the quant/data-driven stuff. They’re looking for a few more interviewees but have hit a wall, so I thought I’d try throwing an ad up on here (friendliest place on the internet, etc.).

Here’s the ad my colleague Dr Vince Miller has been using recently:

    Hi everyone,

Do you, or have you used CBT mental health chatbots such as Wysa,
Woebot, Moodkit, Happify, Pacifica or Youper? I’m head of a
collaborative research project being run by researchers and the
University of Kent and Durham University that’s looking into how
people use ‘Mood apps’, what sort of relationships develop with these
technologies, and how these apps change or do not change people’s
relationships with their emotions. I’m looking for mood app, and
particularly CBT or therapy app, users (who have experience using
these apps) to interview. The details of the Study are here:
    (https://research.kent.ac.uk/emotional-tech/), and I’d be really
grateful if you could get in touch with me if you have experience with
any of these apps. My details are on the link or you can get me
    directly at v.miller@kent.ac.uk.

    Thanks and best wishes, Vince

So – anyone willing to take part? You can contact Vince directly or I could put you in touch. Interviews are anonymised and the research has been approved by the university ethics committee.

Happy to provide more information if curious!

    Cheers,
    Mark
