I offer to the forum my Geoffrey Butler fixed wheel bike
59cms centre to top
56 cms top tube
16.5 cms head tube
I've had the bike in my possession for 30 years now, bought from my friend's kid brother who use\d it sparingly before I acquired it. During this time it has been
my club ride bike, time trial bike and latterly my summer fixed gear bike.
Resprayed by armourtex in 2014. Pretty much unused for the past few years as
I haven't been riding that much due to caring responsibilities.
Someone else should now use the bike as it should be ridden and hopefully it will give you as much pleasure as it has given me over the years.
Absolutely bang on chain line too.
Particulars: Columbus Aelle frame and forks
Spa cycles hand made wheelset - Rigida rime, 36 spokes laced to System X hubs fixed/free.
Campag Athena 172.5 crank with a 50 T Miche chainring 20T sprocket fixed and 20T free sprocket. Shod with Schwalbe durano etape 25mm tyres (you may be able to squeeze 28mm in there. I've always used the bike on road.
Campag bottom bracket.
SR Laprade seatpost - much retro flutiness. A Kona branded saddle - suited my backside!
3t Morphe Bar and stem
Dia Compe brake levers
Shimano 105 brake callipers front and rear.
Overall, good quality mid range componentry allied to a quality lugged frameset built by craftsmen.
