I wish it was just facing!
The mounts are out of line so the Klampers is at an angle, so the pads don't meet nicely at all.
With the BB7 they can 'rotate' on the washers so that they're straight, meaning I've not seen the issue.

Turns out I've fixed it! Was just a bit of paint clump that needed sanding off.

Anyway will update this into a BB7 sale thread a bit later...
For context, the above issue was about some Klampers that are now working, and replaced these BB7s
