I hear a certain worn-cleated, 'passionate' Chelsea Fan led a London Clarion ride to it and back recently.

The cow shed is very local to me, and is a fantastic cafe. I may ride past it tonight after work, but unfortunately it will be closed at that time.
May have to swing past tomorrow for a coffee and some cake.

I've had a 200k route plotted to it for a while now but haven't had a day free to get it done. Soon though.

'passionate' Chelsea Fan
Good callback.
Edit: I assume, 8 years later, it’s okay to rib the man about this. Loved riding with him when I did.

Gosh yeah I think so... I wouldn't want to rake over anything horrible I think he's an absolute DIAMOND. Also I kind of dig his passion even though I don't do shoutyball.

Looks good. There's an Ox Shed cafe near Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Google maps suggests it's a 68 mile ride between the two.

Evening events/openings coming soon..

HE came alone, it was raining biblically. What a legend.
There's a Clarion ride coming up in June I think.(I checked his cleats)

The beers could be better.
Indeed, I shall have the impertinent barkeep flogged and the cellars fumigated with essence of salts immediately.

We have a day free so I'm making another variation of a 300k audax route with Cowshed as the half distance point. This one starts from home but finishes at Watford for the Overground so as to skip the 'muck' that is London suburbia.

The cafe is local to me and I can recommend it.

Hippy, give us a heads-up when you’re planning on arriving so we can stock up (honestly) always good to know in advance if we have groups (or VIPs) coming.
-

Will do. Won't be this weekend, perhaps the next but I'll be entering the route as a DIY so will know in advance.

Looks awesome. Love stuff like this.

Oh and keep an eye on opening times on the website - we are closed the whole early May BH weekend. Sod’s Law you’d turn up then 🤭

Ah, the 4-6th? That'd be right. Lazy bugger.

Will check out the website and look forward to evening events!
I took my Mum to the cafe by car (as she can no longer ride), and she loved it especially the sausage rolls.

I wish laziness was the reason
