Maybe try Vinted? I just picked up a poorly listed but unused Rapha shakedry for £130 on there.

I’ve got a Polaris PBK rain jacket. Black with a high zip.
Very top to very bottom - 31 inches. Pit to pit - 20 inches.
There’s a little bit of damage to it as I put it in the washing machine by mistake but it’s only cosmetic. See pic 2. Drop me a PM if you’re interested.
Is £12.50 posted about right?

Not shakedry is it?

Cheers for the tip. I’ll have a look. Out of curiosity, how do you find the fit compared to other Rapha jackets/jerseys?

Why shakedry specifically? I know there's a lot of froth because discontinued but I wouldn't say mine is leagues better than stuff of a similar price.
I guess anyone who's bought at full RRP will say it's the best thing ever.... I think you'll be really lucky to get one at mate's rates on here sadly. Happy to proved wrong. -

It’s definitely a step or two above the old pro team. Admittedly I’ve not bought a new rain jacket since having it so can’t really comment on newer jackets.
That said can’t imagine the new ones are as packable or breathable?
Happy to be proven wrong though -

Yeah the old pro team wasn't great, and readily available second hand as a result

So what’s on par with a shakedry?
-
• #13
Wait I'm confused, don't you have one already? If you are looking for a new jacket maybe you could sell yours to the OP?
-
• #14
Haha I had to re-read your post too!
I was just trying to question your statement about shakedry not being leagues better, when in my experience it’s been a lot better. -

Have yet to encounter anything like Shakedry in the years since it was released. Would love to know if such a thing did exist!

Ah fair.
I have a Gore shakedry and it's a bit more waterproof but on me, the Zoa I had previously fitted way better, as an example. My point was that the material itself seems to attract a significant premium and was trying to help the OP by suggesting other materials are available..

Maybe a bit tighter across the chest. There's no stretch in the material. Not excessively tight though. On the general shakedry debate, I've only done one wet ride in it but was pretty impressed with how dry and not hot it was. Packs down to half the size of other rain jackets I've got as well, which is a big plus for changeable days. Bought one because I have a couple of mates who love theirs.

I've got 2, I don't need 2 but I'm keeping them both in case I ever need the second 😁

What are some good alternatives? A few guys I ride with swear by the Shakedry. Apologies if this is derailing the thread further.

Cheers for advice

I've got a Rapha, size L that I'd be willing to sell. Will have a think about price if you're interested.

Cheers - think it's going to be too big though. I have a core jacket from 2019 in small and the fit is perfect...

Managed to bag a Rapha Small Shakedry and find it a bit short… does anyone have a Medium they’d want to swap or alternatively a castelli/rapha/gore shakedry they’d like to sell
Anyone got a second hand shakedry they’re looking to move on eg Rapha, Castelli, Gorewear
I’m 6’2 and skinny re sizing…
