Gensis Vagabond F&F [Sold]

Genesis Vagabond frameset in size large. SOLD

I've really enjoyed this bike, especially for fully-loaded touring where it has been very stable, and for off road trips. It really is very comfy. However I find I use my MTB mostly when off road and the Vagabond is not really getting used to its potential, so I swapped the parts onto a Giant ToughRoad frame to try that out instead. This is a bit stiffer / steeper head tube angle and I prefer it for the riding I am doing, so I think the switch is permanent and the Vagabond is up for sale.

Asking £250 with all the above (frame, forks, headset, seatclamp, 2 x PM adapters, flute), also including PayPal fees and posting with Parcelforce 48 (UK mainland).

However happy to split. I still have the original unused Genesis headset which I can include with the frame if helpful instead of the Hope. I don't have an alternative seatclamp.

If the lack of bolts is an issue then I can put together a motley set, let me know. Mostly keen to point out the original bolts that came with the frame have got merged into the general stash and are no longer with the frame.

Thanks! I'd not seen the white ones till I saw that French Divide build... I really like it in white. He's built it with a fair old saddle to bar drop compared to most Vagabonds, it looks like a CdeF at first glance. I hope I don't also regret selling this one, I can see I'll enjoy the ToughRoad for a bit then the novelty will wear off and I'll find myself wanting to go back to a slacker springier bike

Midge bars - these came from AlexD here https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/379310/#comment16710458 and in turn came from another LFGSS member. Alex sold them for a bargain £15 plus postage so was thinking 12.50 + 4evri + 50p or so for paypal = £17 posted & PayPal fees covered

Great looking frame! How tall are you? Trying to figure out if I could make the size L work.

I'm 6ft with 32" inside leg and the build pic above is as I rode it if that helps size it up.

Cranks - these are M622/625 which are listed as 'non series' here - https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/dm/FC0002/DM-FC0002-16-ENG.pdf ... Doesn't seem to be much info about them online.

• Inner BCD 64mm
  
• Originally released as 2 x 10 I think, but I am currently running single ring by placing it inside the outer spider (see pics)
  
• No crank bolts for NDS crank... the cranks I replaced these with came without bolts so I moved them over.
  
• I've put a temporary bolt in there to secure the crank retainer pin
  
• No bolts for the chainring - I've moved them on to another build
  
  

Chainring - new in Summer 2023. Steel SunRace 36T 96BCD, cheap, heavy

These are well used and are missing all the bolts so howabout £20 including fees and post?

Brakeset - SOLD Alivio M447 hydraulic flat bar brakes. No brake pads. Brakes and hoses are drained. Hose lengths are generous - they are sized for the Vagabond with drop bars, so plenty of length to trim to size for flat bars. Front is 82cm, rear is 150cm. Hoses are currently disconnected so easy to trim to size and I have some inserts to reconnect (BH59 hose and inserts). Or I can trim and reconnect if you know what length hoses you want. £30 including postage & PayPal.

If I take the forks out to get it in a smaller box then the many small washers/seals/etc of the Hope headset could end up going everywhere so I'd rather post it assembled as-is... therefore will take the hit on the postage and effectively drop price to £250 including PayPal fees and postage to UK mainland with ParcelForce 48

If it comes to splitting and the headset can be removed, then a smaller box can be revisited.
