Orbea

Browsing the marketplace this morning and popped up for around €250. Seems a lovely bit of kit for that money. Anyone have any info about it?

Niiiice - yeh this is an Orbea Starship. Columbus starship tubing. Some of them had carbon seat stays and chainstays. Hard to find info on them to be honest, the name changed sporadically from Orbea Lobular > Zeus > Starship. Likely from 2004 /2005 ish based on the paint job. Looks like a sloping TT also rather than the earlier ones with horizontal

Hi again! The guy selling says it’s a 2003 but the photos I’ve found online suggest a bit later. Are they just team replica bikes? What’s the asking price seem like?

Price seems good to me. I picked mine up for the same kind of price (2003 Orbea Mitis). I think the bikes are massively underrated considering they were on par with Discovery Treks, T Mobile Pinarello etc..

Apologies for the bad photo but this is mine. I think a tell tale sign of the one you’ve shown to make it 2004 or newer is the integrated headset where as mine is external.

Great, thanks for the info. Might scrap the Caad 3 rep then. I suppose the Cinelli Integralter bars are too early to go on one of theses even if the size was correct?
