This image (not taken by me)
was taken behind the scenes at the Remembrance Parade in London. The sailor being 'attended to' whilst stood on the bollard is my daughter who seems to be a million miles away as she looks beyond the camera at who knows what. A real moment in time.

A second one from me. This one represents finally getting on the track at Derby Arena after over 2 years of being here. Illness kept me off the bike in that time and in order to get on the track I needed to get my own bike sorted out

Chaos in Petra, tourists mingle around trucks clearing debris outside the Treasury, a day after the government cleared out the illegal street sellers that lined the many narrow walkways through the city.

I got stranded in Germany because of the BA computer meltdown and ended up in a very strange limbo world of airport hotels and lounges. I don’t know if these are the best photos technically speaking but they did capture a bit of this feeling of isolation and otherworldliness that I was feeling, so in that respect at least I felt they worked..

Some photos from a few of this year's LFGSS rides, and one of a friend who's gone from owning zero fixes, to two.

A ride from a few weeks ago. Despite the bleakness of the photo, it was a quite mild day.

And a non ride photo. The Christmas lights exhibition at Thursford in Norfolk. What a seahorse has to do with Christmas I don't know but it made a nice photo!

This has been my first year where I’ve really got into taking photos, partly thanks to the weekly photo comp on here for getting me out every week with the camera. Starting to feel like I’ve outgrown the basic kit I’ve been using but in reality probably just want new shiny things. Anyway, some favourites from this year

Not the most technically accomplished photo but I liked this one of an ear of grass framed against this cool blood super moon

Doesn't need it, it's a great photo anyway but I'd love to see the moon one with the people chopped out and just the little kid looking up at it

It has a 2001 A Space Odyssey feel to it.

Riding the alps in July with my best buds. Just climbed the col du Pre and about to descend to the Barrage de Roselend, ride across that and head up the Cormet on the other side

My favourite from a rare moment of calm this year, amongst the usual chaos of parenthood.

A few more that popped and had to add one with bikes in.
Wadi rum is absolutely stunning, the barren landscape at the top of the Iseran is pretty special too.

Title says it all really. Interested to see people’s favourite images they’ve taken this year.
Post as many or as few as you please and feel free to say why/what it is that makes them stand out to you.
