I gave up trying to buy some recently as even the sram distributors didn't have it in stock. Ended up buying some Hunters dot grease from Tarty Bikes - apparently it's what Hope uses. In case you have no luck...

Cheers, I managed to track some down via bikeinn

Jesus, I really hope you didn’t pay for the sram branded stuff. The tiny sram tub is rebadged Castrol red rubber grease.
You can get 500g tubs of Castrol for about a tenner. It’s what I’ve been using for servicing dot brakes for years.

Watch out. Hunters grease leaks like anything. Bought it for my Hope calipers, and every time I come back to it, more has leaked.
Top tip about using Castrol - I always try to find the source or automotive equivalents for this expensive rebadged bike stuff.

Hope say this is totally normal, nothing to worry about.
Silkolene RG2 is rubber seal safe too, but much much stickier

Are you in London? Will give you some red rubber grease.
Where is the grease supposed to go?

Hate I can't quote on my phone.
Grease should not be leaking (breaking down) on any brake system. Coming from dealing with car and motorcycle brake manufacturers. Engineers not sales.

Yeah it's normal apparently but I do mean from the bottle itself, not the pistons. I've had some spillages at home a few times and my deterrents have failed. It now sits very high on a shelf, and yes it still leaks.
Does anyone have a tub of this going spare?
