Congrats.
You’ll probably get a red steel frame ATMO in a year or two -

I wonder what it will look like!
:)
Lurking to watch the build. Very cool

Disappointed that this thread wasn't a very fairly priced listing for a large sized Sachs.

Looks like you got in there with just the right timing for building in 2024. 😀
Looking forward to seeing this unfold but should Imagine it’s going to cost a huge amount! -

Always been tempted by framebuolding material on the website, sax max lugs for the chunkiness ... lush

i would 100% buy; he has same levels of delusions as me with similar nonsensical ramblings

I bet he has a Trek stashed away somewhere

RS definitely sees himself as something of an 'artiste'.
I'm not sure he's quite my vibe, and you definitely get what he thinks a road bike should be, but a Sachs is definitely something a bit special.
I was going to say they're not my aesthetic, but this is pretty nice:

I've often wondered if there was a way to identify a Witcomb that Sachs had worked on (Sachs earned his frame building stripes in Deptford in the early 70s)
They would have been the most local frame builder to where I currently live, and I'm unlikely to afford one of his modern builds.

Unlikely he would have built a complete frame, considering he was only on work experience and only for a few months.

To spend that much money on a frame it’s weird to not plump for Super Record
-
• #24
Will a Record RD take an 11-34 (SR only does 11-32 iirc) and they wanted matchy-matchy? Or is it some weird kind of flex? Maybe even people dropping 6k on a frame have a budget limit?
I mean, strictly speaking it's not really 'logical' to spend £6k on a steel frame, so your guess is as good as mine at this point tbh.
Nice bike though. The look is growing on me.

Will it have disc brakes?
Transferred a deposit payment to Connecticut last night.
Let's see what happens.
