Honestly I haven’t measured, and am currently away from the bike. It was sold to me as a 54 but I will double check if anyone is genuinely interested.

It's likely too small for me, but I'd have thought any serious buyer would want to know the size first.

Fair point, I will double check the exact dimensions and update the thread asap 👍

Hi there,
I’m 5’4 tall woman and was wondering what size frame the bike is? Wonder if it would be too big for me? I am based in East London. Thank you, Lyson

Nice bike, good price (especially after flogging the levers and saddle)

Hey all, yes currently still for sale!

Hey there, a friend of mine is roughly 5’6 / 7 and she found it very comfortable. It’s a 53cm seat tube with a 56cm top tube. Might be slightly on the big side for you, considering the reach - although it does have swept back bars…

Would you post? Don't want to waste time if not! Thanks

• #21
Afraid not, collection from Oxford or London only!
-
• #22
Any chance to try it out in London before I purchase? I would love to buy but I'm worried the reach might be too far being 5'4"?

Still available - £425

Would still be interested if I could try it in London before purchasing? Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi all, literally just built this beauty up to accept that it’s sadly a tad too small for me 🥲
I bought this in mint condition from a chap selling it on behalf of his 90 year old friend. He got it for his 60th birthday and hardly rode it (and only ever in the dry)!
It’s from the early 90’s, near the end of Dawes production when (as far as I’m aware) they still actually handmade steel frames in the UK using traditional methods.
The paintwork is pristine and has a lovely richness to it. Photos don’t really do it justice. The gears are the original 3x8 Shimano setup in remarkably good condition - triples are cool again right? Rock solid Mavic touring wheelset wearing brand new Panaracer Gravelking SS Plus (38c).
I set about making some tasteful upgrades while keeping the original feel of the bike. The main change was going from the old (super low) drops to a relaxed upright position, for which I added the following parts:
Nitto B354 ‘Heron’ Bars
Nitto NTC-225 Technomic Stem (100mm)
Paul Love Levers
Velo Orange Thumbie Mounts
Ergon GC1 Biocork Grips
Spa Cycles ‘Esk’ Leather Saddle
Pedals aren’t included, but can source some flats if needed. Also, I’ve swapped the seatpost that’s in the images to one with less layback.
It also comes with the original pump that slots underneath the top tube.
Seat Tube: 53cm (ctt)
Top Tube: 56cm (ctc)
Bike is currently in Oxfordshire, but can be brought to London if anyone is interested.
