These are the ones which you can fold the collar down on to wear under jackets with lapels if need. Tbh this is the main reason I buy them, super handy for overcoats or reefer jackets.

It's down, so probably not due to the moisture from your body. I've done light trekking with the regular uniqlo down jacket, but I don't think it would be right for high intensity.

Have a look for ones with primaloft as that's synthetic. If you know someone going to the US there's an outdoor shop that does own brand jackets with primaloft at a low price. I can't recall it off the top of my head, but could work it out if it's useful.

Weirdly I think I do actually have a nos vulpine cc soft shell gilet in burgundy. Let me know if you want me to dig it out.

What's your chest circumference, under the pits? To get a feel of much would be too big for this

Not that it's very important, but I paid £30, not £20.

I have a 44" chest and wear a large (hence selling the mediums).

I can see if I can take some meaningful measurements tomorrow.

I generally wear it under jackets in 'lapel down' mode.

How puffy are they? Tempted by the grey one, but I'd like it to be relatively slimline so I can wear it under stuff.

They are thin and are really meant for wearing under jackets imo - not like a normal down jacket.

I wear mine under a barbour or if its really cold under my reefer jacket. I have also worn it under a suit jacket before.

There are hidden buttons which allow you to change the collar to a deeper v so it isn't visible under a lapel - this is what I do with my reefer jacket.
