Inept zero experience LFGSS bargain builds

So I have no bike building experience, am a severe hoarder of mismatched bargains and can never decide on what I actually want from a bike.

Hopefully this thread will help motivate me to actually finish the builds and provide some others with a laugh at how inept I am.

Full candour; they won't be perfectly pretty, or matching builds as everything is basically sourced off here second hand within budget limitations... and I will 100% feel ashamed compared to the threads in this section....

The first 2 up were almost entirely forum sourced.

Dawes Galaxy - a diamond in the very generous @Ndeipi 's rough garden?

So I have a DA 10 speed sourced off Ndeipi for the C50 and a 105/ultegra/canti mashup from various forumers for the Dawes.

Today's fashion faux pas (ITM stem) is even too much for me to handle so I'm going to upgrade the mediocre stem off my supersix and use that on the galaxy.

First error today was that the t30s aren't 11speed? I think only 10. Shit. As the shifters/derailleurs are 6800 11speed. So I guess dreams of getting it done this weekend are over.

The freehub is 2-3mm shorter than another 11 speed I have lying around. Will have to Google if I can get around this in the long run or whether I'll have to switch wheels.

If you are happy with a 11-34 shimano cassette (via a longer cage), you can get a shimano 11-34 hg one that fits on 10 speed freehubs

I'm more than happy using that but I'm guessing you need a long derailleur?

So will be a toss up between swapping the wheel sets and swapping cassette+RD

True, With some luck the budget involved might be similar.
You might have to get a longer caged derailleur, possibly only a cage.

I'd forgotten the RD was actually a short cage DA9000, though not in spectacular condition. I'll aim to sell that (as I don't think the build can cope with such bling) and buy a longer cage 105/ultegra with hopefully some spare change towards the cassette. Or just swap the wheels.

Oh and when I switched my attention to the C50 I realised the freehub is actually 11s not the 10 I expected, so that bike is also on hold. Needs a spacer/similar. Will probably see if anyone wants to swap the campy freehub for a Shimano whilst I'm awaiting other parts.

I'm almost seeing the humour in having the 11speed hub on the wheels I intended for 10s and vice versa... almost

Send your 11 speed cassette to bomber bikeworks and they will machine 1.8mm off the rear so it will fit perfectly on a 10 speed freehub. Cost around £30 I think. Plus they send it back with a spacer in case you ever need to use it on 11 speed freehub - and that spacer should be exactly what you need on the other set of wheels…
