Keen to see this build!
Anyone know what happened to LOW? not taking anymore orders according to the website.
-
• #6
Just order books full right?
-
• #7
That's what I thought but it's been a year....
-
• #8
excellent frames, you build great bikes too, looking forward to it :)
-
• #9
Would be nice, but I like a shallow rim, deep rims dont work that well in Birmingham
-
• #10
ayyy!! thanks thanks, This is a strange build to plan, as even tho its an older low road frame, its still super high tech for me
-
• #11
slightly off topic but does anyone know what the status of Low is atm? Seems like they're not making bikes and there's no indication of when they'll start again, I couldn't find anything online. Its a shame because they make stunning frames and in the back of my mind I always wanted one if I ever got rich and had big money to spend on a sick fixeh

Was it the perma ebay sale ?
Looks excellent, enve throughout, with bongo white logo'ed wheels, silver spokes imo -
• #13
It was on eBay but messaged the seller back n forth for a couple of months to drop the price haha.
Ended up getting a cheap deal on the frame but I had to drive and pick it up. -

Update got some levers, and a very good friend is helping me with getting derailleurs.

I still need a tapered road fork, maybe a thomson 27.2 seat post if anyone knows of one being sold for a good price and a wheelset

This is going to be really good.

• #17
maybe a thomson 27.2
IMO this is most HHSRB, thomson seatpost just looks weird on road bikes
-

Dayum, the zipp speed stuff looks sick but it is £££ haha I would have to get a matching zipp stem too.
I think for now a thomson would be alright and I can upgrade to the hhsb steeez in time.
Thomson looked great on my old caad tho!

Hylix or other chinese carbon coudl also be a good option- saves some weight and adds some comfort compared to Thomson. And cheaper than Zipp stuff

I'm super jealous of this! Excited to see it come together!

• #21
Yessss Gavin, this looks sick. Can't wait to see you around on it
-
• #22
Let's get a ride on when I build this
-

so its still not built, im looking for a enve seat post 27.2 0 set back, and a nice tapered carbon fork, could be enve, could be anything else that looks nice.
i got a enve stem, super cheap, some ritchey logic pro bars,
but goddamn :'( ITS ALL HARD TO FIND NOWADAYS!
I swear it was easier 5 years ago -

Don't sweat doin the matchy business.. I think an alloy zipp service course seatpost with set back would look dope with what you have so far listed... Not bad price on ebay. Looking good

its been a while
I got a dosnoventa detriot full carbon fork off ebay nice and cheap
won a bid on an enve stem nice n cheap
and im having no luck with enve seatposts atm so got a thomson post on it.
Thanks to @ekudduke for helping me with the etap groupset!
its coming along nice!
Im just looking for some carbon wheels atm, I have some miche alu road wheels that I might just have to just use during winter and then fit some carbons once the weather gets better after spring next year.
Rim brake carbon wheelsets are dropping in price as disc takes over!
#savetherimbrake
Im building a roadie bike, low mk1 etap rim only frame
