Reynolds 525 Triathlon Frame and Fork

  • Got this sometime in 2011, person had left in the bike shed where I worked at the time and was in a right state.

Stripped the bike down and it went to a local powder coaters near me, it’s in a standard RAL colour.

I then built this up and used it as a single speed mincer but hardly ever used maybe about 10 times since 2012.

Have recently thought about turning it into a road bike with gears etc but just picked up a Felt bike which I had thought about stripping to use the group set on this, but really now can’t be arsed and I am just using the Felt.

    Here it is

Reynolds 525 triathlon frame powder coated blue from around the 1990s, seemed to have been built by a shop in Stowmarket which no longer around.
Was able to source the correct stickers too
Triathlon frame has a slightly wider rear OLD
Has a brand new shimano bb 24mm axle
    Chrome headset with threaded fork
    Ti bottle cage

    Top tube c - c 56cm
    Bb to st 58.5cm

I did still have the wheels and some other parts etc

  • Just interested to know about why a tri frame would have a wider OLD?

  • Maybe I misread it somewhere but it’s 126mm, where I thought they should be 125mm

Also .1mm thinner seat and chain stays
