A used pair or CX tyres will be included. Challenge Grifo XS 700 x 32.
Tread is great, sidewalls could do with some love. I'm not sure if these will clear the guards, if they do it'll be tight.

Interested in the spuds if you split
-
• #12
Very interested in the frame, would splits be an option?
-
• #13
I'm really hoping not to split. I'll end up with a handful of the small parts and I'm trying to clear out. So I'd rather add parts to the offer at this point but all interest is noted so if I do split, I'll be in touch

What's the story with the headset? It's got a riser and that's not clamping properly? Potentially interested in the whole bike as is, but don't want to buy into an insoluble problem. Wouldn't need the tyres. Am in Highbury.

I'll add a pannier rack to the offer very soon, and possibly a little bag as well.

Could be interested in this - what's the effective top tube length, and do you have any more clues about the stem/clamp/headset issue? Whereabouts in SE are you?
(Wouldn't need the CX tires, might be swayed by the rack you mention depending on what it is.)

Just replied to the PM.
I'll have an effective tt measurement for you soon. -

Effective tt - 57cm

I didn't manage to find a rack.
Due to the stem having an odd, 2 piece clamp, the outer part is slightly sprung. So eliminating play from the headset bearings also preloaded them so that they don't roll as smoothly as they could. It's not that severe, but noticeable when off the bike.
Also, I was asked about the riding position recently and it's really really upright for me (~5'10).
With this in mind, I'll offer a nice 130mm Deda Zero 100 stem as part of the deal. Fitting will require recabling -

I've had the troublesome stem off, cleaned up the headset and put a normal cheap stem on. I'm afraid the headset is indexing slightly so probably terminal for that (though it is functional)
I've just had an accident and (unrelated) fuck-off dentist bill so really need it sold.
It'll come with a new (boxed) 10sp chain and a low ratio cassette. Admittedly the combo of chainring and the new cassette might leave a lot to be desired if you're going uphill but it's what I have. Also chucked a light Tubus rack on.

That's with the cheap stem fitted, the nicer Deda one in a more normal length, the 'cross tyres, new chain and cassette.

The frame has a few chips in the paint here and there. Some have been touched up with some badly matched paint. Others have been left.
1x10, bar end shifter, bit of a spacer stack.
It's working in its current state, I used it a little throughout the spring. But, some things need a little attention. Wheels need a true. Tyres should be replaced (I'll throw in some CX tyres once I've unpacked some boxes). The handlebar tape has been torn slightly and bars have a little scratch, this is just from them being transported a little carelessly in a van recently. The saddle is super comfy, but it's starting to peel away from the base a bit. Also, the stem has a bit of an unconventional clamp which isn't sitting completely flush, this means that it's slightly sprung and the only way to eliminate play from the headset is to preloaded the bearings a bit more than they really want to be.
