Misread the gearing and thought you'd run the front derailleur with two rings as a kind of light hub gear hack...now wondering if possible to do with a triple + chain tensioner....

Ah, nah. I swear I’ve seen Mone bikes (refuse to use the dorky accents) do a four speed by using a double crankset, a flip flop rear and swapping between each combination. Nooooooo idea how he tensioned the chain tho!

No one biting, bumping this down to £100 all in
One more price drop this weekend before it’s off to marketplace.
The Clubman is going because it’s annoying the hell out of me. Nothing functionally wrong with the bike per se - but I keep having mechanical trouble with it and tbh at this point I can’t be bothered to fix a bike I don’t ride that often either.
So - the good bits.
Frameset -
Raleigh Clubman 57.5 TT (the 80s frame, not the modern rehash). Some rust, straight and neat enough. Horizontal dropouts to run SS/fixed if needed.
Components -
Raleigh square taper cranks. BCD unsure, 130 I think? Comes with 53/42 chainrings but I ran it SS 42-16, was lit.
Raleigh drop handlebars, weird shape that I didn’t quite get along with, 400mm ish.
A truly tiny stem that appeals to my short torso.
Weinmann brake levers, external cabling. Ignore the Dia-Compes pictured, I’m keeping them.
Weinmann centre-pull brakes. Roughly analogous to Dia-compe GC610s. Clears 33mms sans guards, probs 30 or 28 with.
Ergotec seatpost - I think it’s meant to be a 27.2 but this post is 27.0. Did the binder bolt up tighter, works just fine. Will include the original but it’s just a bit too short for me.
Selle saddle with a cutty outy bit.
Wheels are Mavic Open Pros on very nice Campagnolo hubs and skewers, properly stunning. 8 speed, front and rear QR, rims are straight AF.
Will throw in the Campag 8-speed cassette, 95% sure it’s a 12-25 but can check for anyone so inclined.
The not-so-good bits:
Tires+tubes are Jack Browns 33.3 which, honestly, couldn’t hold air for their life. The tubes popped on me something like ten times. Wouldn’t trust, swap them out ASAP and maybe check the rims for any burrs.
Brake pads are so painfully bad, my hands still hurt from trying (and failing) to stop with them. Do yourself a favour and get Kool-Stop Salmons like I was going to.
Including some fenders, VO Zeppelins I bought off the forum but, honestly, they’re ratty. Dents all over and the fork crown area is pretty rough. They’ll work, just won’t look pretty doing it.
Obviously, no front and rear mech and resultantly, no shifters either. I am keeping the pedals and bottle cage.
Willing to negotiate some reasonable splittage (and post parts out) but ideally I’d like someone to just rock up on their cargo bike, give me money and take it away, never to be seen again.
Collection in Coventry or I can do Balsall Common for the next two weeks.
Call it £125 all in
