Reported today that the rider, very sadly, died at the scene of the incident. RIP.

Very sad.
It always puzzles me how unwilling public bodies in NI are to release information, and how little people are bothered. Is there any reason why the ambulance service couldn’t just say that the rider had been killed, rather than “we did not take anyone to hospital following this incident?”

I am not sure why didn't report right away that he died. Perhaps there are some rules here that prevent detailed reporting and naming RTC victims?
I'll update once more is known, poor man.
RIP fellow cyclist, thoughts are with family and friends.

Victim is still not named. I don't know if it's a legal requirement here, other road death victims have been named this week.
Someone on social media claims to have given a witness statement to the police but no details have been released.
They wrote on there what they saw but that's speculation until confirmed.

Cyclist hit by a lorry, the article calls it a serious crash but also mentions nobody was taken to hospital. Very confusing, finger crossed they didn't get badly hurt.
That part of Belfast is very congested with narrow roads so usually not fast moving. It has a few confusing junctions but isn't really an RTC hotspot.
