• Found a Garmin watch on a trail in Epping Forest last night. No-one around and nowhere obvious to leave it.
    Has anyone lost one?
I’m going to contact garmin with the SN. Any other clever ways to get it back to its owner?

  • If you upload one of the activities to Strava it may suggest you did it at the same time as someone?

Or it should give you a good idea of where they live if then run from home regularly

  • I’ll try that, doesn’t look like it was recording at the time though. Need to learn out how the thing works first!

  • I have seen garmins reunited doing what @will101 has suggested before. I am not sure about the watch, but some garmins allow you to add a custom boot up message, mine has my phone number on it. It maybe worth seeing if the watch has a similar feature.

  • I managed to borrow a charger cable and sync the watch with my laptop.
There are regular runs from Harringay to Blackfriars. I can locate the start of the runs to the corner of a street so looking for someone who can put up a couple of posters for me.

  • I'll stick a post on the local forum for local people.

  • Awesome. Running regularly 8km to Blackfriars. Found the watch in Epping Forest, but no routes recorded around there.

Starting around the corner of Ridge Rd and Oakfield Rd.

  • i can print and stick a poster at this junction

  • Awesome, thanks.
I’ll dm you my number to stick in the poster.

  • Forum assemble!

  • Did you manage to find the owner? Only just seen this and as a fellow Haringeyer am hopeful on the owner's behalf!

  • I picked up a 645 watch last week near Godalming Surrey.
Any tips on how we find the owner?
