Tanwalls instead of these red tyres would be a big improvement

Yes was looking at tyres, the seller had just given it a service and I guess had just put those on.

Glad the bits arrived - better late than never! Spooky having seen the bike they are for... here's a pic of my Super Profil, albeit it now has Campag 11spd fitted (and gumwall tyres!). Good luck with it - Hutch

Yeah no sweat 👌 popped the ring on and along with realigning the rear wheel seems to cured any noises now running smoooooth so hopefully no need for a new BB... Ah twins ha ha very nice 😍 need to remove those pedals which are proving stubborn so i can take it for a proper ride.

Yes gone from zero to 2 quite rapidly 😆 can’t resist seeing something nice that needs some love…
Not sure if I’m going to regret this, spent a while taking the tattiest dt stickers off, at least I’ve got a template for where to put the new ones 😁

Omg! Why did you do that?!

Yeah, I know… I like the patina on the bike but the stickers on the downtube were really hanging off, I may leave the others. At least I think I made a decent job of applying the new ones. Also found out that the stem is stuck, annoyingly a little off straight too obvs. Took it for a nice 20m jaunt this evening.

Looking good. You can use the horizon in the first pic to sort out the saddle angle ;-)

Fair enough the new ones don’t look out of place. I personally love the flakey old water slide decals it just shows it’s truly old and original.
Stem is a bummer. You can remove a stuck stem fairly easily if it’s something you’re happy to sacrifice.

Sympathetic/quick n dirty mild facelift continued, may not go much further than a bit more elbow grease but I do have most of a campag 10sp groupset in a box, but then maybe getting too similar to another bike. Next job to see if I can free the stuck stem…
- bit of elbow grease
- Replaced chainring
- Tidied up/replaced some of the graphics
- Tyres
- Nicer Flite
- Popped some flat pedals on for now

Recently came into possession of this, and I'm not sure how much of a project this will be really. It needs a new chainring (on the way), possibly a bottom bracket and I have a new set of stickers ordered... but the scruffyness of it as-is has grown on me. Appears to be all Dura Ace 7400 apart from the cassette, and the post is Campag ti. I am tempted to put Campag on it and have a line on a nice Record/Chorus 9 speed set up but i already have a 'nice' bike so maybe I should leave it alone. Will give the frame a good clean, get it functional and we'll see...
