I've got one similar to that. Not used it for a bar bag, but I expect it would work. Seems pretty solid. I mainly use it for lights and a Cycliq camera. It's completely solid, no noticeable vibration.
Actually I might have used it for a bar bag that I cable tied on for the odd ride. Don't recall any issues.

I've used two of those in this setup to bring my dry bag away from the bars. Worked fine and the mounts felt pretty sturdy. It's hard to see in the photo but there's a smaller one underneath the bar creating a cradle for the bag to sit in.

Ditto, works fine but maybe stick to metal bars as I found I needed to tighten the clamps to stop it rotating over rougher ground (or just keep light things in itβ¦)

Here's my challenge...there's little room between bars and wheel. I've a big ride coming up and I'm not a fan of a rucksac. I've to be careful not to move too much weight forward .

Standard option is a short rear rack over the rear wheel and small panniers.
Have you considered a small transverse bag almost directly above your bars?

Thanks. Trying to keep it simple and use what I have in my 'kit'. I carry very light and little, with small heavy items in a bumbag. Not camping so it's easy to minimise. Summer trip too so the weather's going to be fab....isn't it? ππβΊοΈππ

I'm hoping to use one of these to hold a barbag. Anyone tried that?
