oof that's lovely and I'd say it's an absolute bargain; cue a slew of "if that was 54/58/62/ I'd bite your arm off" type posts...

I remember having the same experience @ Rourkes in 2012. Had a 953 frame made that was so stiff it was harsh (ooer) and just the frame weighed over 2kg. An expensive mistake unlike your bike which is a good deal! GLWS

Its my size....

2kg! I’ve had frames in 631 that’ve weighed around that mark. 953 should’ve been in the region of 1700g. That’s a real shame.

I was seriously miffed considering how much it cost...
I think loads of people got one built because of the book / TV series:

Yeah I remember that series. I read the book first and then got a bit disappointed when I saw the TV series. Only because I can get a bit bored of seeing how obviously privileged the people are who tend to get involved in these adventures.

That's beautiful, and a bargain, but too small for me......worth a bump though for a lovely thing!

Now SOLD
Custom built for me by Jason Rourke following a memorable morning spent measuring up and chatting with his dad Brian. At the time, my brief was to have a British no-frills modern Di2 steel road bike inspired by builders such as Speedvagen and Breadwinner in the USA. I now only get to ride the bike three or four times each summer, so regrettably it is now time for my third child to find a new home where it will be appreciated and actually used. Quality specification and lightweight components - total bike weight on my scales without pedals is about 7.9kg.
Frame - Reynolds 853 (Di2 only - integrated wired, with beautiful Rourke frame details, no-damage or dings, finish is flawless)
Fork - Ritchey WCS Carbon
Headset - Chris King Nothread Sotto Voce Black
Groupset - Full Shimano Ultegra Di2 6870 (rim brake, 165mm compact chainset, battery in seat-post,english threaded bb)
Wheelset - Shimano Ultegra 6800
Tyres - Continental GP4000s 23c
Saddle - Fizik Arione
Seatpost - Ritchey WCS
Stem - Ritchey WCS 90mm
Handlebars - Pro PLT 36cm
Bartape - Lizard skin (brand new)
Bottle cages -Elite Carbon
Geometry:
Seat Angle 75degrees
Head Angle 73degrees
Seat-tube (c-c) 460mm
Top-tube 510mm
Headtube 90mm
Sizewise and set-up are similar to previous bikes I have owned or ridden - Caad9 48cm/Specialized Allez Sprint 49cm/|Cannondale Supersix 48cm (also not 'too' sloping toptubes)
However, steering geometry (head-tube angle) is a fairly steep traditional 73degrees, which is not normally available for a small frame, so handling is fast combined with a short wheelbase. I've lost track of the money I have spent on this custom Rourke, and it's also impossible to quantify the time, emotion and experience of the custom bike journey. I also understand that we are in the world of mass-market carbon, aero and disc brakes, and I have to mitigate all emotion, and be pragmatic at the pricing, so do let me know if I am way-off: £SOLD
Located in Hertfordshire, but London can be arranged.
