Nice frame! You could use a 1" headset spacer under the stem to improve the way it looks a bit

Thank you.
Good idea. Still playing around with stem height but will do that when i'm settled. -

Even better would be a Nitto quill stem and some Deda Piega 26.0 bars

Got this and a nice old cinelli solida bar, but i just prefer the modern.🙄

Thank you. Just been for a spin and it's great fun and pretty fast. I am very happy.😀

If you prefer modern, you'd probably like to bugger off the nut on top of your headset...
Sexy little bike like that deserves a better calibre of threadless adapter.

BTW, looks like you can slam a 90 degree stem...
A right-angle stem with a level top tube might seem like an odd call, but that would minimise the bulk above the headset; a bunch of 1.25" stuff up there above the 1" stuff is less preferable IMO, and it would actually look pretty tight with the straight-bladed fork.
... And admit it, you're a bit disappointed with the Thomson stem with its silly tiny bolts... I've got one of those too, mounted on a 1" fork, oddly enough... It's the 17 degree angle they come in, huh.
Originally built around 650c, i was finding the choice of rims and tyres very limiting, so i built myself some 650b tubeless wheels and set them up with 25c tyres. The ride is very much improved.
