RECYCLED // FREECYCLE - Merida Super Aero 38 Road wheels (absolutely dead) //RECYCLED

Hi all,

I was looking from a cheap road wheelset on eBay and this popped up at £15 with extremely poor photos.
Contacted the seller who reassured me all was good witht the wheels, some "mild" wear.

Cycled about 7 miles to pick them up in the dark just to realise the following morning that the wheels are 100% shot. The kind of wheels you leave on the street corner for the metal recyclers to pick up.

The braking surface is way past it and unsafe to ride.
Rear Shimano hub is missing some hardware and is seized.

Perhaps good for the rim tap or for the axles / parts off the freehub?

I will drop off at the recycling centre on Saturday if not takers.
