Downtube shifters band on bracket

Hope the title makes sense!

I'm looking to put gears back on an old 531 frame. I need the band on shifter bracket to attach some cable stops.

Practical over aesthetics as this is going to be my commuter.

I'm in Devon so will most probably need posting. Thanks in advance.

Prob have a Campag one?

That might do, I'm guessing the down tube would be 26.8ish and I have the actual cable stop attachments.

If ^ does not work, have a set Shimano 105 Golden Arrow DT shifters, £18 posted

just be aware that some of the older band on brackets didn't fit the more modern adjustable cable stop attachments, presuming you have shimano or Campag variants. The shape around the pegs were slightly different IIRC but I can't remember which brands didn't fit.

There were also band on double sided cable stops where the outer cable end would butt up against but no adjustment capability unless you added an inline adjuster somewhere else. There were older ones of these but very rarely seen, modern variants are available, SJS do one for £12 incl postage but if you get no luck here try the Cycling UK forums, there's loads of old duffers on there with this kind of stuff lying around.

Thanks for the info, I'm also tempted to just run a full cable to the mechanic but will again need in-line adjusters.
