Bike piles

Was going through some old photos earlier & reminiscing over the good times when fixies were cool & we managed to get loads of people out on our weekly rides (up in Leeds, LSF always had the Thursday night rides).

There's something special about a bike pile. Stacks of bicycles racked up in a chaotic way, daisy-chained D-locks, it being a battle to get yours out (or just being the first to the pub & the last to leave).

@not4sale this one makes me sad for some reason, are they dumped? Most look in rideable condition. That said, few frames without wheels in the other photos.

Was that the LFGSS/YACF ride?

I think this was the previous one, when we stopped at the Brewery Tap in Furneux Pelham for beer and cheesy chips. Where did we lunch on the LFGSSxYACF ride?

It was a pub, but I'd be hard pressed to identify/remember which one.
I don't think it was in Furneux Pelham.

I'll almost be disappointed if this doesn't turn up on SFSS.

I feel like gears are fair game though, IME always less pileage as fixed rides are often more pubby rides.

Oh, piles of bikes! The thread title reminded me of the piles which gave me an excuse to give up time trialling. I fucking hated it.
