That paint job is lovely!

Man... but I guess if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. Will have to admit that I actually prefer that paint to the splatter on my/your Pacer. Have you still got yours?
-
• #9
Yeah, I think I prefer this teal/purple/white to the pink/yellow too....
Yep, still got the Pacer, it'd take something big happening for me to sell that one.

This is ridiculously sexy, GLWS.

Good to hear :) I need to downsize a bunch on bikes but have similar thoughts. Then again, I end up having that thought a lot, which is kinda how I got here.

South-East-London-going-to-the-bakery bike
Should be a thread. If I didn’t have an SE bakery bike already I’d be all over this.

Thankyou - the specialized was kind of just a long overdue something-to-keep-me-busy project, but was fun to do.
I've enjoyed riding this one and couldn't resist when it popped up a while back, but it's now served its purpose for me -

It's possible to fit literally several croissants on it

I caught a reflected glimpse of myself on it in the window of a popular falafel shop
Haha

lt was kind enough to let me lowball on this but i didn’t want to do such a thing to sell it on 4 months later
Someone should buy this, great price, rides fantastic
Also @lt left it outside of a bakery in central london for 2 days for it to be left untouched, if that isn’t an endorsement I don’t know what is

it was actually a budgens but the sentiment stands

Yewww! Is that splatter original? Can I slip in a cheeky dibs (regardless) pending a final decision tomorrow?

Yeah, the paint is original.
Alright then. I built this up last year amidst dark, dark visions of becoming a Kuwahara collector. I think it's a pretty decent example of a South-East-London-going-to-the-bakery bike. It has a basket which is mounted to a forum-favourite canti rack, full length guards, and is distinctive enough to get a few "oi mate nice bike"s without it being concerning leaving it locked up for a bit.
Size wise, TT is 57.5cm c/c, ST is 56cm c/t, or 54cm c/c, but it feels a bit smaller than these figures suggest on account of the 71 degree sta and 70 degree hta.
Unfortunately, I caught a reflected glimpse of myself on it in the window of a popular falafel shop yesterday and, at 184cm ish, I'm reluctantly admitting that it's too small for me.
Build spec includes:
Middleburn 170mm crankset, middleburn 32t ring
Nukeproof pedals and saddle
Nitto bullmooses
Ourys
BL-M600 levers
Odyssey BMX chainstay U-brake with discobrakes pads
Avid Single Digit 7 front brake
Jagwire outers with stainless inners
SS/ solid axle conversion, genetic chain tug
Vittoria rubber
It bumbles along nicely, stops with more gusto than any of my other bikes, and steers as it should. I can include a cassette, rear mech and shifter if you wanted to run gears on it, and don't mind fitting these if needed. It currently has a security skewer on the front wheel and seat clamp, I'll dig out the originals and put them on.
I'm in Camberwell, SE5. I'm going to ask for £450 because it's fairly unusual and has a few nice bits on it, but I'm open to sensible offers.
